TOUR QUOTES:

“As the title makes crystal clear, there's only
one star in this particular show and that is a car.
If you ask it nicely, it purrs sweetly along the highway.
It turns, swerves and accelerates, leaving a trail of
joggers in its wake. Threatened by a rising tide, it floats,
then outruns a ship that is trying to capture it.
And finally it flies, way up to the stars.”

- Toronto Star

“The creative team have conjured up quite a few moments
to enjoy. The production values are high, the sets and props
are rich in colour and entertainment.”

- Toronto Star

“The numbers built around songs such as "Me Ol' Bamboo"
and "The Bombie Samba" are clever and fasting-moving.
And "Doll on a Music Box" is actually quite touching.”

- Toronto Star

“The voices are strong, the dance numbers
are splashy, and though the carnival backdrop
looks like it was made with a giant Lite-Brite
set, the scenic elements are effective. But the
real star is the car. How Chitty 'flies' is a mystery.
But she looks magical doing it.”

- Miami Herald

“A lush, inventive fairy tale
that will dazzle audiences”

– Variety

“A family musical that will enthrall children”
– Variety

“Tour-stop crowds eager to be entertained
will not be disappointed by the warmth
flowing from the stage.”

– Variety

“Director Ray Roderick has deftly
reworked the show to bring out the
emotional colors, pruning and overhauling
the script as well as the direction.
There is exuberant new choreography and
new orchestrations for a snappy 13-piece pit.
...The iconic images from the 1968 film remain,
from the creepy child catcher
towing a cage of children to the car
soaring against a starry sky.”

– Variety

“Roderick's earnest cast embraces
this storybook Never-Never-Land”

– Variety

“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will captivate kids and adults”
– The Sun Sentinel

“Sugar is measured out in spoonfuls
rather than by the saccharine truckload. The result
is a family musical that will captivate the children
and not embarrass or bore the adults.”

– The Sun Sentinel

“The stagecraft that makes the roadster fly
in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is pretty close to magical”

– The Sun Sentinel

“A crowd willing to be entertained
will not be disappointed”

– The Sun Sentinel

“A fairy tale to seduce the emotions”
– The Sun Sentinel

“A children's story to take the children
in all of us on a brief trip above the clouds”

– The Sun Sentinel

“The one sure-fire element is the beguiling Chitty herself”
– The Miami Herald

“A driving, floating, flying wonder”
– The Miami Herald

“Chitty truly is a family –friendly musical”
– The Miami Herald

“ How Chitty 'flies' is a mystery
– but she looks magical doing it”

– The Miami Herald
